Carl Kithcart, of Kithcart Farm located in Smithfield, stands at the edge of one of his 83 acres of corn. Kithcart stands 6 foot 4 inches while some of his corn planted in late April has grown to over 10 feet. He said that the crop looks good but needs rain to keep up the pace and that it was to early to tell if the yield would be a bumper crop.
